Hi! I'm Taylor, the creator of No Picky Eaters by Tay.
For those of you following along on Instagram already, you're probably wondering who I am.
I am a food enthusiast and self-taught cook based in Brisbane, Australia. I'm a glass-half-full kind of girl and enjoy travelling more than anything. Well... almost more than anything.
Of course, FOOD is my number one love and passion - food made with good produce, exciting flavours and care.
The idea to start my food blog came one night after my father-in-law Ted was visiting from Sydney. I had organised several dinners out with him, my brother-in-law James and my husband, Josh, while he was staying.
Most of my family and friends know how big of a foody I am. Usually, to make it easier for the table, I suss out what people's preferences are and what catches their eye most on the menu. From here, I will take charge and order for the table - I have yet to make an order that doesn't get eaten in its entirety.
During our last dinner together, Ted exclaimed he had not eaten so well in quite a long time. James quickly agreed; he had lived in Brisbane for over 10 years and never realised just how many great restaurants and food were out there waiting to be discovered. They both knew of my creative writing skills and people skills, and now they knew the girl KNOWS good food - so why not share that with the world?
Fast forward a few months of creating and planning, and here we are!
My aim for this blog is to share the great places for eats around Brisbane, share with you what I know about food, learn more from each experience and get to know my guests better with The Standard 10.
The Standard 10 is a list of 10 questions that get asked at every NoPE meal with each guest. This will help me, and you get to know our guests a little better - not just their taste in food and what they think of the experience, but also who they are as a person and what makes them tick.
